Why is pilot run important before mass production?

A pilot run checks whether an approved speaker design can be assembled and tested consistently using the intended production process. It helps reveal issues that a single sample may miss, such as assembly difficulties, component variation, wiring problems, lighting differences or packaging damage. Before bulk production, the buyer and manufacturer should review the pilot results, agree on acceptance criteria and resolve outstanding issues. The required quantity and test scope depend on the project. A successful pilot reduces uncertainty, but it does not replace inspection and quality control during mass production.

Why is a written product specification important at the beginning?

A written specification gives the buyer and manufacturer a shared reference for quotation, development and sample approval. It should define the model or design, functions, acoustic targets, battery and charging requirements, dimensions, lighting, accessories, packaging and destination market. Why does wattage alone not predict real speaker performance?

Reliability validation and routine shipment inspection serve different purposes; the same tests are not necessarily performed on every unit.
