This study explains why low-frequency sound is perceived differently at varying listening distances. By analyzing sound pressure decay, spatial energy distribution, environmental reinforcement, and perceptual sensitivity, it shows that changes in bass perception are primarily caused by acoustic behavior rather than loudspeaker performance.
