This case study outlines an OEM speaker supply project developed for DNS, a major retail and e-commerce customer in Russia. The project focused on a dual 6.5-inch portable party speaker designed for practical channel sales rather than concept-only development.
The customer did not want to start from a full 3D first-sample route. Instead, the priority was to move quickly on a mature private-mold product base, then refine the product around power output, battery configuration, and market-facing details. Deluxe AV supported the project from product matching through sample confirmation, production preparation, and batch delivery.
The result was a stable channel-oriented speaker program that moved into mass production and achieved annual shipments of 50,000 units.
DNS is a large retail and e-commerce customer in Russia. For this project, the customer needed a speaker product suitable for real channel movement across both offline retail and online sales.
This mattered because the project was not built around a speculative concept. The customer needed a product path that was workable, commercially realistic, and easier to push into the market within a controlled timeline. That meant using an existing mature mold as the starting point and improving the product where it mattered most.
The product direction centered on a portable Bluetooth party speaker with dual 6.5-inch woofers. The customer’s requirements were clear from the beginning.
The speaker needed to deliver a 60W power configuration, use an existing private-mold platform, and avoid a slow and uncertain first-stage 3D sample route. At the same time, the product still needed careful adjustment in battery setup, product detail control, and overall execution quality.
The challenge in this project was not inventing a new speaker structure from zero. The challenge was choosing the right mature platform, then making the right refinements without increasing development risk or slowing down production readiness.
DNS was not simply looking for a factory that could assemble speakers. The customer needed a supplier that could work from a mature platform, respond quickly, and turn a confirmed direction into repeatable production.
Deluxe AV matched that requirement for three reasons.
First, we already had a suitable private-mold product base for this category. That reduced early-stage uncertainty and made the project easier to move forward.
Second, we were able to adjust the product around the customer’s real priorities, including power, battery, and product detail control, rather than pushing a fixed off-the-shelf configuration.
Third, we could support the project beyond the sample stage. For a retail and e-commerce customer, stable preparation for inspection, production, packaging, and shipment matters just as much as the sample itself.
The project began with evaluation of an existing mature speaker platform. Instead of building a new model from scratch, Deluxe AV worked from a completed mold base that already fit the product category and market direction.
This decision shortened the path to confirmation and reduced the time spent on avoidable structural changes. It also gave both sides a more realistic base for discussing what needed to be changed and what should remain stable.
After the platform direction was confirmed, Deluxe AV worked with the customer on a focused set of adjustments. These included product power, battery arrangement, and detail-level refinement. The purpose was not to over-engineer the product. The purpose was to make the selected platform better aligned with the customer’s sales channels and commercial requirements.
Once the sample direction was confirmed, the project moved into production preparation. Deluxe AV supported the transition through a practical manufacturing workflow that included:
BOM confirmation
packaging confirmation
trial production
process review
material follow-up
inspection preparation
shipment planning
This stage was important because a speaker program only becomes commercially useful when the approved sample can be carried into real batch production without losing control over quality, consistency, or timing.
For channel customers, repeatability matters. A good sample is not enough if later shipments become unstable.
To support more consistent production, Deluxe AV applied standard manufacturing controls across the project, including incoming material inspection, in-line checks, aging tests, finished-product inspection, lighting and function verification, and packaging inspection before shipment.
These controls helped maintain product consistency during repeated production runs and supported the customer’s retail and e-commerce delivery requirements.
The project moved successfully from product confirmation into mass production and shipment. The customer approved the sample direction, production execution remained stable, and the program continued beyond the initial order stage.
Annual shipment volume for this project reached 50,000 units.
This result matters for a simple reason. It shows that the selected private-mold route was commercially effective. The product did not remain at sample level. It entered repeated channel supply and proved workable in real market delivery.
This case reflects a common pattern in channel-driven speaker sourcing. Many buyers do not need a completely new concept at the start. They need a mature speaker base, the right product adjustments, and a supplier that can execute without creating unnecessary delay.
That is where Deluxe AV added value in this project.
The work was not about making the process look complicated. It was about keeping the project practical, shortening unnecessary development steps, and moving a proven speaker program into stable production for retail and e-commerce use.
