LENTEL Russia Dual 5-Inch Party Speaker OEM Case Study | Deluxe AV

Executive Summary

This case study presents an OEM speaker project developed for LENTEL in Russia. The program focused on a dual 5-inch portable party speaker supplied to a chain retail customer whose products were sold through both offline stores and online sales channels.

The project did not begin with a full 3D first-sample route. Instead, the customer wanted a more practical path based on a mature private-mold platform. The priority was clear: control development time, keep the product commercially workable, and move into production without unnecessary delays.

Deluxe AV supported the project from product evaluation and requirement matching through sample confirmation, packaging follow-up, production preparation, quality control, and shipment execution. The result was not just a confirmed sample. The program moved into repeated supply and reached annual shipments of 50,000 units.

Customer Background

LENTEL is a Russia-market speaker program serving a chain retail customer with both physical store sales and online sales channels.

This shaped the project from the start. The customer did not need a concept product built around a long development cycle. The product had to work in real channel sales. That meant it needed to be visually acceptable for retail display, commercially realistic in cost, and stable enough for continued supply after launch.

For that reason, the project followed a mature product route rather than a fully new structural development path.

Project Requirements

The product direction centered on a portable Bluetooth party speaker with dual 5-inch woofers.

The customer’s requirements were practical and specific:

a mature private-mold product base
no full 3D first-sample development route
stable product configuration
workable cost control
qualification and certification readiness
support for retail display and online selling
preparation for repeated batch supply

The difficulty in this project was not creating a new concept. The real issue was selecting the right product base, keeping the commercial side under control, and turning the project into a stable supply program within a tight timeline.

Why the Customer Worked With Deluxe AV

The customer needed a supplier that could handle more than samples.

Deluxe AV was selected because we already had a mature speaker platform suitable for this product category. That gave the project a realistic starting point and reduced early-stage uncertainty around structure, timing, and manufacturability.

At the same time, we were able to support the parts of the project that often create problems later if they are handled too loosely: packaging follow-up, production preparation, inspection readiness, and delivery coordination.

For a chain retail project, this matters. A product may look acceptable in the sample stage, but that alone does not guarantee stable supply. The project needed a factory that could carry the approved direction into production with fewer risks.

Product Matching and Development Support

The project began with evaluation of an existing mature speaker platform. Instead of opening a new structure from zero, Deluxe AV worked from a completed mold base that already matched the customer’s category direction and product appearance expectations.

This made the development path shorter and more practical. It also improved communication efficiency, because both sides could focus on the changes that mattered instead of restarting the entire product route.

After the base platform was confirmed, Deluxe AV supported the customer in refining the project around its actual channel requirements. This included product detail coordination, battery-related confirmation, packaging follow-up, and general preparation for mass production.

The value of this stage was not complexity. It was control. The project became easier to manage because the product direction remained grounded in a proven platform.

Packaging and Production Preparation

Once the sample direction was approved, the project moved into production preparation. Deluxe AV supported this stage through a structured workflow that included:

BOM confirmation
packaging confirmation
trial production
process review
material follow-up
inspection preparation
shipment planning

This stage was critical because the product was intended for chain retail sale. In this type of program, the move from sample approval to actual supply is where many projects begin to fail. Packaging, appearance consistency, timing, and inspection readiness all affect whether the product can move smoothly into real sales channels.

By controlling this transition carefully, the project stayed closer to market requirements and reduced avoidable production-side disruption.

Quality Control in Mass Production

Retail-facing speaker programs depend on repeatability. One approved sample is not enough if later shipments become unstable.

To support production consistency, Deluxe AV applied standard quality-control procedures across the project, including incoming material inspection, in-line checks, aging tests, finished-product inspection, function verification, and packaging inspection before shipment.

These controls helped reduce unnecessary variation during repeated runs and supported continued supply for the Russian market.

Project Outcome

The project moved from confirmed sample status into stable batch production and shipment. Production execution, packaging follow-up, and delivery coordination were completed in a controlled way, and the cooperation continued beyond the initial stage.

Annual shipment volume for this project reached 50,000 units.

That figure is important because it shows that the project was commercially workable at scale. It did not stop at the sample or first-order stage. It became a repeatable supply program built on a mature product route and stable manufacturing execution.

What This Case Shows

This project reflects a common sourcing logic in chain retail speaker programs.

Many customers do not need a fully new concept at the beginning. They need a mature product base, focused product adjustments, and a supplier that can move the program into repeatable production without creating unnecessary delay.

That was the practical value of Deluxe AV’s role in this case.

The project worked because the route stayed commercially grounded. Instead of extending development for its own sake, the work focused on product readiness, packaging support, cost control, and stable supply for real channel sales.
